Google as well as Yahoo

Most webmasters are doing SEO considering Google only. I would like to know which things to keep in mind while doing SEO for Google as well as Yahoo? Means SEO for Yahoo without any effect on Google result.

Google and yahoo both have different algorithm but both requires quality content and backlinks with dofollow rel.

I think that if you have quality site and have good rankings in Google you will also have good ranking in Yahoo.

i find that if i stick to strategy, then i will rank well in both and probably better in yahoo because there seems to be less competition there.

thats Not True . I am on First Position in Google Uk with "Kindle Review" site kindleinfo dot net but on 27th Position in Yahoo. Can any one Explain how to get Good Ranking in Yahoo & main difference in algos with Google & Yahoo?

Most people work on Google because it has most number of traffic. But Yahoo and bing also can give you a lot of traffic. and usually the bounce rate of bing is less than the google. So it is important to consider these other search engine too.

I believe that if your site has good performance in Google then it will also good in yahoo with minor difference. Nevertheless for your convenience I give some differentiated points here.

Google emphasize more on quality content and quality backlinks while yahoo emphasizes more on onpage factors. Keyword density plays a vital role in yahoo seo. Internal linking of a site counts as page rank factor in yahoo system.

When you are doing submissions you may use do follow sites because Google considers do follow links. In Yahoo's case Yahoo considers do follow as well as no follow links in counting PR. So always use both it will help for both search engines.

Both of them have some factors in common; but some are totally different such as meta tags and keywords are worthless to Google; but traffics and quality unique content are common, Backlinks has less significance to yahoo whereas it is strongly recommended for Google.

for sure both rely on backlinks and other factors for ranking website higher in search engines. i think google does give importance to a website ranked goo in yahoo, if you rank good in google u will surely find urself on first page of yahoo as well with a little difference.... try registering your website to yahoo webmaster tools as well...
