Is there any limitations of putting the keywords and phrases in my meta Keyword?

I have read many post of meta keyword and keyword phrase. It is very important for a Website/ blog. But i can not understand how many keywords and phrases i will use in my meta Keyword? Can you give any answer for this?

No limit (I just successfully submitted a 1000 words in there) but the appropriate number of keywords to use in the meta keyword tag is zero.Meta Keyword Tag was in focus 5+ years ago but spammers quickly discovered that repeating a keyword over and over in this tag rocketed them to the top of the SERPs. The search engines had no choice but to ignore it for ranking purposes.Today they are more concerned with the keyword relevance in (meta) snippers and titles.
