Well, as far as i understand. While doing link building for your site, you need to make sure that you don't do it too much and too fast. So if you get like a 1000 links from sites, it makes it suspicious for google.

while doing the SEO of website you do need to have a llok on link velocity as how quick or low or at what rate you are creating or getting backlinks for your website, according to me you should be really careful that you do not have high link velocity if your website is new coz google bot register it as a spam website which could easily block your website for few months hence a disaster for your website so just go generic ans u will be fine....
