Default How can i prevent content theft.

    HI friends.

i need to ask a question:

Suppose i have created a new website and its content is fresh. If somebody stoles my content and upload it on any old website.

The old website is may be crawled before me, As my site is new, it will take time to index in search engine.

if i files DMCA, then the other person may also claim on the content that the content is his own.

So how can i report about my content theft.

There are several steps that you can take in order to prevent your material from being used in an unauthorized manner.these steps are -
    1) Include a very clear copyright notice on your blog.
    2) Obtain an appropriate Creative Commons License, according to how much you are willing to share.
    3) Configure your RSS feed so that it displays post summaries.
    4) Search for your content using Google.
    5) Set up a Google Alert to scan for your name or blog name/title.
    6) Use Copyscape.
    7) Protect your images and other documents, as well.

Whenever you get any of your image or content copied by another website, inform Google, Yahoo and MSN so that, that website could be removed from SERPs.

You can always send them a cease and desist letter. That has worked for me in the past and usually they will take down all the content within a day or so because they know they are in the wrong and don't want to risk a lawsuit.
