According to me, You can increase traffic from the adwords campaigns but it's not useful for SEO.

Google ad-words give us basic ides about the keywords and it is a useful tools for this which tell us that what types of competitions on your keywords .

Google adwords works until we employed it, when we deployed it, its all branding and ads will disappears, but in case of seo if we put link or adds they after we deployed seo, the links and adds will be remain last long rather than adwords. If we need traffic only for short time then adword is good, for long time seo is good.
