Do Search Engines like images on a page?

Im getting the feeling from looking in the serps since Panda that search engines, especially Google like images on a page. Not too many, just 1 or 2 fast loading images relevant to the subject. What do people think?

Yeah it should not affect site speed else i think its fine

I think, yes images on the webpage is good for a website unless and until it does not affect site performance. Do proper Image Optimization for the images those you place on a webpages of your website.

They say ‘well-optimized’ images create rich user experience. And search engines do like websites that create happy users. So, yes, if you are using an optimum number of well-optimized images ( I mean you have added proper ALT tags, used thumbnails, cropped out extra spaces etc) on your website, it will most certainly help you. Rest, it all depends on the demand of your respective niche.

of course it will. but google do not like flash. and you can change the image's alt to seo the image
