Google Alert Exclusions ??

I Have an alert for a specific Geographical area.
I get too many Alerts for real estate in that area
I tried to remove real estate from the equation with a (-) minus. NO LUCK
How does one make an exception with Google Alert

As far as I know about Google Alerts, you can not make any exceptions in it. If you will create an alert for a specific geographic area, then you will get the alerts for each and every update regarding that area.
