Should I hire an SEO or optimize my website myself?

I really want to get some good rankings for my site but I don't have a lot of money. Can I realistically expect to get some decent rankings without hiring a professional SEO to do it for me?

I would be more interested in your website. Is it the type of site that people will like so much that they will return again and again? Is it interactive? Is it useful or cool or worthwhile?

If you have the above right, you really don't need much SEO. You can do things like submit to a few directories or add a signature link. But what is most important is that your site grows as a result of what people do after seeing it for the first time.

With literally hundreds of signals, google probably already knows what your website is about and has it indexed. Your job is to make sure people want to come back once google sends someone to it.

If you have knowledge about SEO then you should do work yourself otherwise hire an SEO Company to implement seo techniques on your website.I think you ll get good results if any professional seo expert ll do work on your website.

If you think that you have created website for the people that draws the attention of the people, then you don't need to hire SEO. Since, you don't have much money to pay off. There are some tips which you can do easily... I'm damn sure, you will get good ranking.

1. First research on your website keywords.
2. Apply Unique Meta Tags and Contents
3. Do Properly Internal Linking
4. Social Bookmarking
5. Forum Posting
6. Blog Commenting

If you're not very good at SEO it's better to hire someone. Or if you have the time Learn the technique. It may be bit complicated but not that difficult.

If you have a good knowledge of SEO then you can optimize it by yourself and if you are not perfect in ON page optimization, then you can hire an expert for On page and you can do Off page by your self.
