I've run into a very peculiar issue with wordpress twice on two different hosts. I'm doing a fresh install of WP and it's extremely slow. Now, I cannot even login to the admin panel with the admin password and given password. It says 'invalid username', which is wrong because looking in the database I see it's table. Any ideas? Thanks, Dan Update here's an error from cPanel's log: Code:
[Thu Mar 27 18:06:16 2008] [error] [client 204.210.136.114] PHP Fatal error: require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '/home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-includes/template-loader.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 21 [Thu Mar 27 18:06:16 2008] [error] [client 204.210.136.114] PHP Warning: require_once(/home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-includes/template-loader.php) [<a href='function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 21 [Thu Mar 27 18:05:47 2008] [error] [client 66.249.67.220] PHP Fatal error: require_once() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required '/home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-includes/template-loader.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 21 [Thu Mar 27 18:05:47 2008] [error] [client 66.249.67.220] PHP Warning: require_once(/home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-includes/template-loader.php) [<a href='function.require-once'>function.require-once</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/bigdanu/public_html/wp-blog-header.php on line 21

Still having this problem I see. Do you want another server to simply test it out on?

So, Wordpress doesn't work with php5? I believe on this server it is and does.

I always assumed it does and it did when I had it one my older VPS. For what ever reason it doesn't like 5.2.5, I guess. Perhaps it's a configuration issue but the same exact thing happened on two cPanel servers. I soon as I set the account to php4, WP installed with and is running now without problems.

Real weird, cPanel says ours is "PHP version 5.2.5" maybe it's a combination of settings causing it then as it's not happening here: webtalkforums.com
Kalina added 0 Minutes and 46 Seconds later... Maybe I should upgrade our Worpdress installation and then see if we have the same issue. Last edited by Colleen; Mar 27th, 2008 at 9:21 pm.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |
