Thread: Is MySpace being abused?

I have started to hate MySpace now.

I used to love it earlier and thought it to be a meeting place for friends, but now due to wide-scale spam i receive at one of my addresses, i have just started to hate the day i joined this network.

Has anyone else been through similar feelings? Is MySpace being abused?

MySpace has been being abused forever. I get so many BS group invites and friend requests for view my cam profiles.

I've noticed lately that MySpace has been nuking this profiles a lot quicker maybe they finally built in a spam filter. Really MySpaces' own success is the problem; they've grown so large that spam profiles can and do get lost in the fold.

Y, they have started to crack down a lot more than they have over the past 1.5 yrs

I see 1-3 profiles a day that show up on my account in the way of friend requests or emails that state: "this profile no longer exists".

I'd rather have friggin 12 myspace spams a day than the 666 email spams I get a week on my 2 main email accounts!!!
