Thread: how to optimiz Social Networking website for traffic ?

I am using Social Networking website's for the promotionof my website and have added more then 1000 friends in Facebook, twitter. I have many follower in Digg , Stumbleupon but not getting any traffic from all those user. I useually like the other's post but nobody likes my post in return so in there any use of my facebook and other account which have thousand of friends and all are real. Anyone can give some suggestion in this same topic ?

- Publish quality wall posts
- Participate in commenting with your audience
- Connect your twitter profile with your Facebook page
- Organize online contests
- Distribute coupons
- Use 'send' button on your profile
- Add Facebook widget on your website
- Share posts/ news/ hot deals on social media platforms frequently

In addition to this, you must as well,
- Join and participate in related online communities
- Join and participate in niche related forums
- Invite guest bloggers to post on your blog
- Add RSS feeds to your website

I just want to add , you can also create a fan page so you can invite people to join in your group. Where you can post the updates about your product and services

I would like to add that if you are on Twitter, then interact with people in your niche. @reply to their posts with the intent on starting a conversation. Don't do this with big names because I've found that they get so many people tweeting to them that your reply simply gets lost in the shuffle. Look for members with a medium following. Also look for accounts who @ reply other people because this increases the likelihood they will reply back to you. There are some accounts on Twitter where the person only posts links to their websites etc.

You need a personal connection or at least be more network sufficient to get feedback. You don't want to post generic information that people will overlook.
Interesting content will keep people interested and remember to contact others without spam intentions.

We can use different techniques getting web site traffic by using social networks. Popular social network which we can use for this purpose such as:

Facebook, Twitter, Stumble upon ,Delicious,Dig,Digo ,Drop jack, Linkedin , Folked, Tagza.

By using these social network we can professional work on it like book marking , link sharing , join community/groups share commenting. Increase follower. these all thing are helpful for increase website traffic
