Pligg site?

Hi,

I have a question, anyone here run a Pligg site?

What advice would you have about starting one?

Is their something better and still free other then Pligg? I have heard of Drupaligg and PHPdugg. Are these any better?

I heard oneway of running a site would be a rule that requires users to enter at least a 350 character description. What would your thoughts about this be?

Any ideas on how to make money with a Pligg site? Visitors tend to bounce because the real content isn’t on your site, but somewhere else.

I plan on having a niche social media site that targets the areas of celebrity gossip and movie reviews.

Hello .. I have recently installed pligg on my site and do some experiment on it. I can't give you advice because I just used this right now ... But I am also want to explore on other scripts like Drupaligg or Phpdugg .. Here is my website Tag Articles / Published News

You must know plenty about Pligg sites by now Sami.. too bad Pligg is kinda dead in the water with very little 3rd party support..

BTW- Softaculous will install Pligg for you in a couple clicks.. most hosts include it along with Fantastico on their CPanel.

I am not familiar with Drupaligg, but I can trust PHPdugg & Pligg scripts as I have seen and analyzed many good sites which run PHPdugg and Pligg scripts. IMO, you should go with two scripts.
