Thread: How long do you think Facebook will last?

Facebook, right now, is clearly the most popular social network around. How long do you think they'll last. It'd give them a few more years, but really, they don't have any serious competition... What do you think?

With how it is going on now, I think Facebook will still last for a long time. They're uniqueness makes them stand out of all existing social networking websites. We can predict their end if we can see some serious competition in the future.

In my opinion, they will last a long time, MySpace really blows, and I dont see any others jumping on them anytime soon. The only thing that could bring them down is themselves, as long as they make good business decisions, they should be around for a long while.

I think it will last long ,it is getting better and better,I am using from last ne and a half years and it is updating great,so i think it will last long

I'm not so sure has I signed up for a facebook account once and got bored rather easily so I haven't used it since. Now, I just use Myyearbook & Myspace, thats about it.

They will last for long time from now.If they keep the site updated all the time whit new futures they will last.

Facebook is like myspace for grown ups. It will be around for many years although something else will probably come along and prove just as popular.

I agree. I think it will be around a long time. The only groans I have are the friend limit they impose and how quickly they seem to freeze accounts

I think it will be for a long time,as they are updating like hell,it is getting better and better with times,so don't think it will be any less in the coming years

I think most social networks will go thru some sort of transition within the next 5 years as trends peak and change.. the Facebook of today will look very different tomorrow.

I think it will last really long because there are a lot of members who are using it.. Also, facebook never stop improving itself so I guess more and more users will become facebook members, hence, facebook will not stop operating..

i think facebook will last look at how friendster and myspace they still lasted up till now. depends really on the number of users that it has

Quite a long time I must say. People is crazy about Facebook.

I think that not more that 20 years - the next generation will invent something new for themselves.

I don't think it'll last for very long. It's still losing money because the users are complaining about a bit of ads. sigh..

Facebook is the top 2 website nowadays. Their service is good. That most people love to visit. So, I think they will last like myspace did before.

People like Facebook now, but time has proven that like anything socially based, people move on to something else after 5-10 years or so.

Well i can't see any finish line of FACE Book i think they will go long
