The latest Facbook e-mail scam

Today I received this email, which is clearly a scam designed to trick users into opening a malcious file attachment:

Dear Facebook user,

Due to Facebook policy changes, all Facebook users must submit a new, updated account agreement, regardless of their original account start date.
Accounts that do not submit the updated account agreement by the deadline will have restricted.

Please unzip the attached file and run "agreement.exe" by double-clicking it.

If you have received this message, do not download the attached zip/exe file as it is clearly a virus. Facebook would never ask you to download an executable file via e-mail. I also noticed in my e-mail that the file was zipped as many e-mail systems preemptively block .exe file attachments since some of them contain viruses.

I got another one, this time it's a MySpace phishing scam:

Thank you for giving us a warning. Although we don't receive that kind of e-mail, it is still better that we are warned to this issue.

When I received the first one it wasn't even sent to the e-mail address I use for Facebook.

I saw in the news some company had hack into the bank account transfering about 500k into a bank account in russia using the facebook scam.

Thanks for the heads up. It's quite a pity that some people actually resort to this- and people fall for it and end up having viruses on their systems.

Some of them attempt to steal passwords. Others attempt to trick users into downloading some kind of infected file.

This is a good warning.

I am a facebook fanatic and it's a good thing that I haven't receive any e-mails like this.

There are actually a lot of spams around my facebook inbox, my friend's accounts are all being hacked and I hope this one will be solved.

This is an epic fail for these scammers, I wonder if they have been successful with this strategy because I think no one will fall for this kinds of tricks.
