Thread: Using social networking for marketting

Were quite a niche market, does social networking marketing work for any site, what tips will help us to get started, is it just a matter of writing ads on you wall or is there other tools you can use?

I think social network marketing works on all kinds of site because of the diversity of people checking it out daily. It has become a popular place for people trying to promote their product because it's free.

Yes it really works for me. As long as you know the right way to handled it. Like twitter and facebook.. They really give me a good traffic.

Social networking doesn't include only facebook, twitter but many other sites too. But as of now people and companies have been using facebook as the best one with fan and company pages, promoting them, and twitter too with thousands of followers. When you have a good number of people following you, promoting stuff becomes a lot easier with offers, coupons and all being shared easily.

Still, networking is a good way for marketing but not for SEO purpose. So don't fall in a wrong impression and believe that its an SEO trick, as others too think.

It's not really easy but if you submit every new product of your online store or every post of your blog to at least 10 relevant and do-follow social networks, I'll see incredible traffic results.

I have some traffic on Twitter, but nobody buys any products I sell. Sure I tried only few days But traffic I am happy with. It is about one visitor per posted link from 1ooo followers. So if I have 10.000 followers and post link I will get 10 clicks.

So I can do there 100 posts per hours. And I can have 50.000 followers and more.

I think it is good traffic there.

There are hundreds of social media sites you can use. I would suggest to pick 5 -10 you would like to most and work on them develop your profile and get to know the community. The rest of them you should still submit to but you should outsource it as otherwise it would be just too time consuming.

Social Networking has very low conversion rate...it is only good for branding purposes and web visitors...other than that...there is no other usefulness of Social Media.

Social networking help me a lot for marketing. I'm currently using facebook and adding friends to join on my network then once a day I will post my link in my status and I'm getting 100-150 visitors/day.

I think social networking can be good as long as you know how it works.. and I need to work on that myself.. :happy-f:

Dont really get much even with 800 followers.

Actually there are no need for tools when using social networking sites, all you need to do is improve your reputation and know how to attract people to participate or join to your offers.
