In your experience what is the most effective social bookmarking site for you ?


As for me Digg, Deliciuos, Stumble Upon are great for referral traffic and getting faster site/blog index in Google.

I'll go for Propeller! Digg and Propeller are two of the most effective social bookmarking sites for me.

I do prefer using propeller. Digg is nice also but propeller would be my favorite

Yeah, Mr. Wong and Reddit is really cool. digg is a nofollow now, so i'm not using it anymore.

I understand nofollow but what difference would that make? Isn't the idea of these type of site to bring traffic to your site? So the nofollow or not would not make a difference.

Baically correct, but people complain that front page traffic from digg and stumbleupon does not convert well. If a server can't handle digg traffic it can bring a site down or max out the bandwidth.

I'd rather have 100 targeted quality hits than 1,000,000 crap non targeted junk hits myself

Digg is the Number One, that I use. But I hear from people the Mr. Wong provides more traffic

I think the the conversion rate all depends on the product and you can always buy more bandwith. I do agree if you see none then you have a big problem.

I do agree that you need targeted traffic. But their are people like me who just buy or click on impulse and I want them as well.

In recent time Mr.Wong is become good source of visitor for me although it is a good backlink for my site

There seems to be a lot of votes for propeller. I must admit i've never used that particular site.

It's funny how things change after they become too popular, too quickly. I remember squidoo and stumbleupon were very effective at one time before the inevitable backlash.

To me I feel that it is like that with anything in the world.

At first people just gravitate towards something just because it is new and innovating, it seduces us with urges unknown when we hear the "name" of whatever it is everywhere, yet you personally have no interest towards it.

Then finally you subcome and start using whatever "it" is and by that time it is already "old" as social interests are concerned. I try to avoid these kinds of situations, but I am only mentioning it because it happened to me.

I just started using delicious for social bookmarking, and I have to say I love it.

yet to me for so long I thought that something so commonly talked about, mentioned, seen online, whatever was corny. because to me I tend to think that something that is so overly commercialed cannot be that great quality.

Normally the most powerful tools are ones that we underestimate, take that how you want it.

The three sites I use are Digg, StumbleUpon and Reddit. There are numerous others, but these three are the easiest to use that I have found as well as being the top three in use by reported numbers.

As far as I know, among the many social bookmarking sites, Propeller is not anymore existing and not an active site anymore since October 2010.

Social Poster and Social Marker are two great sites which has a list of different social bookmarking facilities.

As for me, my favorite social bookmarking site is Slashdot.
