If you go under settings you can also change your facebook ID.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you can only change your FBID once.
    So choose wisely.

Um, you have to create your facebook ID. You can only do so if facebook is certain that you are a legitimate person though. In your account settings there is a field to create your id. Otherwise your ID is a generic number.

Ok, are we playing symantics here? There is your login email address which you provided when you first created your account and it is required to login each time you return to facebook. When you first create your account it is assigned an ID number which you can find by visiting your profile (wall) by clicking on the Profile link at the top right hand corner of your screen. When you have done so your page is directed to your profile and in the address box, there is a series of numbers at the end which denotes your ID. You can, once your account is fully setup and active and verified, change from this series of numbers to a self created ID such as PeterPiper or Casanova, whatever. . .but I believe this is a once in a lifetime creation and cannot be changed. To create this id you go to your account settings page and update your ID field.

    this is easy....

when you found the link like this: www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001697550203 - then the facebook ID is 100001697550203
but when you found the link like this: www.facebook.com/jeanne.luv - then how to get its facebook ID???

    it's simple...

right click the profile picture (or any picture on his/her album), select "view image info", then you will see the location of its image such like this:
    profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-snc4/48975_100001697550203_2733508_n.jpg
where facebook ID on the link above is 100001697550203

btw, 100001697550203 is my facebook ID

If you forget your facebook id then check your mail address or if you want to change your facebook Id then go to the edit option. You can change it easily. Hope that the answer will be helpful for you.
