what is better Facebook or twitter?

They are both nice as they are different a bit, but they are great to communicate with some other chaps.

Why limit yourself to one method of social networking? It's always best to use multiple types of marketing / advertising to capture optimal potentials. It's hard to say which is better out of the to in general sense because both platforms have different uses. Maybe if your question was about 2 social communities with similar features it would be easier to say, however, that's not the case here. Use both & be happy![]()
Facebook is larger, but Twitter is much easier to use
i like facebook, have too much game![]()
facebook...![]()

Just like drifter said, why choose? Use both of them.
Facebook is the third most visited website in the word having around 648 million unique visitors in November, surpassing even Yahoo. So Facebook is definitely a good a choice.
facebook better but twitter like most!

well, facebook do have more application as well, one can have a complete business plane in it,,, so i prefer facebook,,,but if you wanna work asinternet marketing, then twitter is on 2nd number after facebook, you must have to go with it too..
Both are best.
FB for staying connected, twitter for news/quick updates.
People are 6 times more likely to click a link on Facebook than on Twitter so I urge website visitors to become a "fan" of my sites' facebook pages more heavily than I urge them to become Twitter followers but both are good tools to use. Keep in mind they're just tools, though. Use each for what they're good for but spend the most time and effort promoting your own site.
What's your source for your 6 times figure?
I think more people interact on Facebook vs Twitter.. most people on Twitter are like me.. they tweet their links or content and don't read anything in return. I rarely even go to my Twitter page. I tweet from my Posterous bookmarklet or Tweetdeck.
Doh! When I looked up the source, I realized I read it wrong. Damn ADD...
Turns out, it's a link on FB is worth 6 times more than one on Twitter in "real dollars" according to this study.
"...Our most recent data shows that over the past 12 weeks, one share on Facebook equals $2.52, a share on Twitter equals $0.43..."
Jeff Bullas' headline is what threw me off: "Sharing On Facebook Is Worth 6 Times More Than A Twitter Tweet"
I agree 100% and do the exact same thing. I very, very rarely actually read tweets from the people I follow, but I'll scan something shared on Facebook if it catches my eye and click through if it's intriguing. I think the platform itself is just more conducive for that since it doesn't look like a "wall of links" like Twitter does most of the time.
Twitter might get you traffic.. I find that anything I tweet will see some hits as a result of it. But I think trying to market on Twitter means you have to tailor your followers to fit your product. Selling isn't what you have, it's knowing who to sell to.
Facebook and twitter are two different networking sites. No two are alike that is why I don't like to choose between them. Will you agree with me?

It is definitely facebook because it has more advanced feature than twitter.....
Twitter has become popular for professionals and companies to promote their products and brand awareness. Facebook the most common nowadays for friends networking and also good for promotion. If we compare about the traffic - facebook has more than twitter.
facebook is so cool
Both are good but my first preference is always fb![]()
I'm using both Facebook and Twitter for traffic.
Facebook is rocking now a days.
Depends on the market and what you are after. Twitter is good for short and sweet posts text message types of things. Some people find short beneficial. Facebook is good for more details with company info, details, and somewhat longer messages. Both require a following to take advantage.
Both are good. Depends on what you are looking to do with them. My suggestion, as making an account is free, use them both.
Is it just me, or does anyone else find twitter a total bore? I have to say, if your thoughts are constant and can be typed out in 140 characters or less...they're probably not that interesting...at least facebook is (mildly) more in-depth...
face book coz mutipal options and gr8 featurs like picture taging, group chat ,and many more
I would go for Facebook.
when it comes to me i like facebook more then twitter and for me facebook is the top social networking web site its helpful to keep in touch with friends and share stuff there ..
Both are necessary for a successful website marketing campaign. They both have different advantages and should be used simultaneously for maximum exposure.

I'm not really used to Twitter, but the first time I used it, I found it convenient, and quite accessible to different personalities, whether political, showbiz or anything. Quite ironic is that, I have over 400 followers but I only follow as few as 50 names.
For Facebook, I use it to connect with my old classmates, friends and relatives.
My answer: why use one, when you can have both! My Twitter is directly linked to my FB account, so whenever I post or Retweet something, it pops out in my news feed on Facebook.
business point of view twitter is best.
facebook is better than twitter
