No.

All twitter external links have nofollow attribute. And websites don't have PageRank, only pages do.

well twitter is good but i don't rely on twitter alone when promoting a website in getting rankings or traffic,there are lots of methods can be use.

And that is the reason I prefer Face book. Anyway, social networking sites should not be considered for any page rank.

I don't think twitter is best now.I am getting more benefits from Facebook and LinkedIn rather than twitter

Twitter helps in getting good amount of traffic but not helpful in increasing the ranking or page rank of website... Cheers..
