So I log in for like the first time in 57 or 3 days.

I have about 31 new messages waiting for me, more than 1/2 of which have this in the message body: "There was an error trying to get the form requiring approval."

WTF!

POS! I guess they are back to their usual self, all their crap is broken?

Then they went hog wild on deleting profiles it would seem. I went from 45K to 39K since the last time I logged in!!

Timmy's a MySpace friend whore. :P

Yup, MS still sucks, but it's gotten a little better. The messaging interface is a tad bit nicer. Still the same amount of spam though :P

huh, I've seen a sig. drop in the spams, even with all my fake friends!

too bad they are 2 years too late on implementing all the security features!

Yup, I've seen a big drop in the number of spam bulletins and maybe a 5% drop in the amount of spam friend requests. At least MS has given the option of marking a friend request as spam now. I rarely read bulletins so I don't count them in my MS spam equation. :P

Lately, I have to login in twice which really irks me. I login on myspace.com than it takes me to login.myspace.com and makes me login again!! grr. A first I thought maybe I'd gotten a virus or something but I even tried under Linux, same thing.

I didn't lose any friends. All 50 of them are still there! Maybe they all just got tired of you, Tim! :twisted:

I rarely get spam, other than stupid forwarded bulletins from the teenagers that I do have as friends... I've noticed a big drop in the number of friend requests that I get. I used to get 6 or so everytime I logged in!

Y, a lot of the bogus accts get deleted before I even have a chance to add them.

login error sounds like a typical myspace bug...an error has occured, this will be fwd'd to myspace technical group :evil:

Anyone ever tried FriendBlaster Pro? Will using bots to add or invite friends get you banned?

I am not much for those kind of things but i wouldn't say myspace sucks :P Though they are bound for updates to create a more viable mean to prevent the spammers.

Yah! i saw my friend using it to add friends... but after a while he saw most of the friends he got were not related to him.. so he stopped... better u choose friends manually...

Hm I don't know which is more boring: Facebook or Myspace?

using stuff like that in and of itself will not get you deleted. however, they have limitations in place now where you have to be judicious in the number of requests you make, comments, messages, et al.

what those limits are now I have no idea. back in the day it was like 500 actions a day.

This is a story for Tim's book of MySpace Crappiness. Two days ago, I got a comment notice, so I normally let them stack up a bit seeing as how I wind up deleting most of them anyhow.

I login, not once, but twice as I mentioned above

I checked the comment but I was bored so I decided to stop by a couple of friends' profiles and leave some love, this was literally only 3 people. I posted 3 comments, went to my messages and wrote to a friend of a friend.

I hit send message. "Your account has been flagged for suspicious activity, message was not sent."

WTF? Three comments and an attempt to send one message. Meanwhile spammers are creating hundreds of profiles per day.

No, but I rarely use it. My 17 year old brother had made my account and that of course meant I had to go and RE-DO it. Sometimes its targeted towards work (like now) and sometimes its more personal - depends on my mood and what I feel like at the time! I have built up a large network of friends on myspace and I was considering trying to promote my business through the network. Has anyone ever tried something like that and what results did you get if you did try it?

I'm planning to get more agressive in using social networking to advance my aims.. tomorrow. My big problem is motivation and procrastination (but I have a doctor's excuse)

they keep flaggin my account...bunch of mother/fathers is what they are.

You used to be able to send 200 comments a day. Then 150.

ok so it's been a long time since I spammed my pics over there I thoguht I'd tet the waters. well 175 is def too many...flagged. then I took the next day off I think or maybe only did 75...flagged

PITA. at leas they haven't deleted my account yet :eek:

been 2 or 3 more times they'v flagged me too...sometmes 50 to 112 comments...no real clue

to be safe you should only send 5 cmts, 2 fr requests and 1 message a day.
