Thread: Custom Wordpress Template (for CHARITY site)

Hola,

Well...i've finally got time to really start planning my nonprofit/charity organization (yes, it really will be an organization...not just a website) and while I am a decent graphics designer...i usually like to leave the designs to things i'm a part of up to someone else...as it takes me months when i try and do it myself...

The site is going to start as a blog...and in a few months when we start getting funding coming in more areas of the site will start opening up...and by that time we should have more funds to work with...

I have a logo, and a few sites i like the designs of...right now i'm looking for some portfolios and quotes...i don't have to funds to get something expensive (though it'd be cool if someone wants to do a nice design for free, with just a linkback from the site...which should start doing pretty decently within the next year)

site should match these colors, with white background...


this is the type of color scheme i want...mostly white, with the main logo colors for main text, borders, etc...

and for the actual layout i like...
I like the top black bar in the link above (though maybe not black for this one?)...i'd like to be able to easily update an announcement link sort of thing in this bar

What I like:
I'd like the layout of the popular articles, subscribe box, and recommended money makers...just in the position that the favorite/recents posts are on shoemoney
footer...i LOVE the footer layout

alrighty...that's about it...and these are just things i like...i'm perfectly willing to converse over different styles, etc...just remember...that in the end it will have to be something that looks charityish (not moneymaking ish...because that's not what i want...though i picked two examples that were made for that...i really just like the way they are set up)...and it must be easily expandable...since new sections, features, information will start getting added as we get the main core of the organization set up.

Again, please remember that i don't have a budget really to work with at the moment...but if you aren't willing to do it for cheap...that's fine too...we'll just have to wait a little while before we start...i'm still interested in hearing from anyone that thinks they can do the job.

Although I would prefer a kind hearted individual or company to 'donate' this to a charitable organization...I WILL NOT sacrifice the quality of this website for the sake of price...i'd rather wait another year to get the needed money saved up than have a crappy site.
