Thread: Nice and Easy Template (Free??)

Hey hey everyone. I'm currently looking to start my personal domain site (just one of those "About Me" domains that will go with my batms.com domain (my nickname is BatM so i have things such as xbox[at]batms.com for my 360 and about 30 other personalised emails for particular sites!)

I just wish to now have a very basic but flowing website to go with the domain... The design technique seems to me asx looking very simple but then again i'm not a webcoder so I really have no idea.

The only thing that would change on the entire site would be the content in the middle as the left top right and bottom will (I hope) all be the same.

I have enclosed a zip file of 3 pages so you get what I mean.

Some things you should know.

1. Box on left is a "Profile" of myself including dob, nicknames, most visited websites, website of the month etc...

2. Box on left is advertising.:
***Top - Bidvertiser..
***Two bottom - One WTF button and other spot for whoever can make it for me ( so they would be 125X125 buttons.. there is the wtf one on http://amfufu.com as an example..)

3. Website is FIXED width (you will see in the png's) so about 600- 800 px..

4. The three grey colors under the Header image are the menu buttons.. with "Active" being a lighter grey and unused space being a darker grey.

5. The header - Can this just be a Blank but Black background color that i can just put an image on? (width of content & height of about 200px??..)

6. Black bar 3/4 of way down is "Footer" bar (could this possibly say "Created for BatMs.com 2008 By: YourName (as a site link).. No copyright (unless you actually copyrighted it :P)

7. Grey box below footer is "Button Bar" that will contain button links to anyone's site that wants them to be there.

And i think that is it :P

Please remember that only the center of the pages (actual content) will be the only thing changed from page to page.. So would there be a way to create one file for entire outside and one for each content page (content page has actual .html or whatever extension but the outside maybe loaded with the page from a seperate file???)

Please also note that you will recieve at least 9 links within the BatMs.com domain (that is at least two (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) on every page being the 125X125 button and your name link) also you will be linked (9) on "BatMs.com Friends" page.

I, at this point in time, can not supply money for this, whoever I have tried to make the site as "Link Savvy" for you as possible. Also if you need small webhosting feel free to ask me

I think that is all the info I have but i'm sure to remember something in a few minutes and will "Double Post :P" so for that I apologise!

1. The "Welcome To Batms.com" page... Is manual edit of news, no blog or forum integration... Just a box to enter a number into.. some room to write some information and the month under date...(example: Vlexo Australia | News)
