Thread: How to open raw access logs?

What program is needed to open and read the raw access logs you can download in cpanel?

They download as a .gz file but open into a file named after your domain, ie; the filename would be webtalkforums.com

What opens that so I can read the logs?

Admin added 52 Minutes and 40 Seconds later...

Answered my own question, renamed the file extension to .txt, downloaded textpad and opened it in there.

You can download third party programs to view the logs as well, they can make it much easier.

simply rename them to any text format or open them directly in worpad.
