i own an indian medical students domain as many users in india have slow connections so server based in india might open quick for them,i'm dump in this case but i see many sites uses some kind of cache or sth and when people visit from respective country your site acts as a local server and soso... like say akamai technologies servers.

no indian hosting are much more expensive than us based..but the thing is is the server is located in india then surfing from indian might be much more faster than ever,as long as i think.

@ 010081: You could try hosting in Singapore. Cheaper than in India, and (sometimes) as few hops away.

@ grim: Not always (about hops). My government-run ISP decided to go the wrong way around the world to get from India to Malaysia. 25+ hops. The right way, it's 10-15 hops. But that's just an exception.

The less hops the better the chance it will be better, of course if you have 10 hops on faster lines than 5 hopes on super slow lines it can be the exact opposite

Exactly, location has a lot to do with the speeds. I have seen ping times in excess of 250+MS from the US to India.

pretty dump in these cases..

I was just searching like Akamai servers but they are expensive..

o.k here is my simple question ,i was searching like those servers which allow users to surf from any countries in very fast speed,i don't know much about this but when anyone opens a site hosted on such servers those sites act as a local server for that countries...and something like cache stuffs....

Cause i have seen sites hosted in akamai servers opens in a blink and the best thing is i don't need an ISP account to access those sites,so i was searching for such hosting servers so i don't have to pay money to my ISP and do my updating and stuffs with my sites without using my ISP account.Because my ISP is too slow ...not only mine all ISP are very slow in nepal ,only those hosted akamai and so so servers are fast..

when i ask for 256kbs a/c they don't give they only give 64 and 125kbps account and its really hard to work with 64kbps connection.but sites like msn,webmd,apple,adobe download at 50+mbps
