Thread: Getting confused and upset

I have several domains hosted on one web host. Sometimes, some of these
domains are not available to me when I want to check for submissions. I can't
get to them unless I use a proxy and some times that doesn't always work.

Here is where it gets weird.

I'm able to access some of the sites that I have hosted on this host all the
time without any problems at all. Only a few of them I have troubles and I
have to access from a proxy - sometimes the proxy doesn't even connect.

I'm confused if this is a ISP routing problem on my side or a Domain Host problem.

I'd call your hosting and ask them WTF? That sucks man!

Better if you shift our sites to different host....!

Isn't that weird - I can access them from a proxy but not my own ISP so
it can't really be the Web Hosting can it - it must be my ISP... right?

This sometimes happens to me with DP.

Personally I find that the best thing to do is check with HT. Then I can see if it is just my DNS servers or if my server is having problems

It can be something on your end, the hosts end or the connection between the two

When it is down the best thing to do would be to run a traceroute as that would show where the issue is at.

I moved 4 of domains off that host - and I haven't had a single ounce of
trouble with those domains I moved - however the remaining domains on
that host (CergoVPS) still have uptime (connection) issues - thus I suspect
it's something with that host.

I'm going to be dumping them very soon as soon as I find better hosting.

take a look at asmallorange.com

I am assuming you use windows. Go to command prompts and type in:

tracert domain.com

replace domain.com with the one you want.

Not that I am having problems but incase I need to know one day, I just tried this and would like to know what to make of the results and what to look for in the case of an issue?
