Thread: My Recommended Web Hosting Provider

Hi all,

I just want to spread a word about my hosting provider www.dinohost.com

I used to host my site on some other hosting company but their support was very bad, I was allocated 20GB bandwidth and my sites were not getting much traffic but still the cpanel showed that I have exceeded the b/w limit and my sites were down, I contacted the support but no response.

Then I contacted dinohost.com and switched my websites to their servers. The sites are in my signature. You can see how fast my sites are opening

Also, I had some questions and when I contacted dinohost support they replied me within 3-4 hours with the exact answers of my questions.

I don't have much knowledge about hosting related stuff and I feel very comfortable to be with dinohost as I Know they are taking care of my websites very professionally

I would highly recommend you if you are looking for reliable hosting, just go with dinohost.com

How long have you been with them Jani?

It has been almost one month with them

But I never seen any downtime or slow speed. I asked many friends to open my websites and see if they are opening slow than before and every one said that they are opening fast for them.

My host has had 0.8% downtime so far this month, is that good or bad?

That's not that bad and it isn't that good.

I hope this will help you understand it better.

100 days = 100% uptime

1 day = 1% uptime

You had 1% downtime, so it would calculate to 1 day downtime in 100 days period.

I just got that stuff out of my head, but that's how it would mainly calculate when you would take a look at the 100 days period.

Me either, but it's easier to understand.

You would have exactly 3 days downtime in a year if you had 1% downtime in the whole year.

So that calculates to a pretty good results, but when your hosting service will be having more downtime then that you might consider changing your hosts to DinoHost

But of course you want way better uptime than 99%. 3 days downtime over the course of a year would be abominable IMHO. I'd say 3 hours downtime over the course of the year would be a good passing grade.

You will find that hosts that offer 99.99% may have some downtime along the track somewhere. Not every host is perfect, We have not had any downtime this month and or last month. Though it does not mean we will not have any.

But we try our best to keep it up at 99.99% of the time.
