    Default Internal Server Error

I am using Joomla! with the Fireboard component and host with hostmonster DOT com.

When I delete a post on the forum, or attempt to recount the forum stats on the back end I get an "internal server error." Joomla! people say the problem is not their software, the Firebaord people say it is not their software, and the host says it is not on their end. What can I do to remedy this situation?

In my experience it's likely a HostMonster issue, you should check the server logs and see what the internal server error actually is.

What is the error you get?
Sometimes security programs can interfere with scripts for a possible starting issue.

It is timing out, at exactly one minute. I have changed my php.ini to as high high as 10 minutes for a max execute.

You'll crash the server like that.

Check your .htaccess file and permissions as well as ownership of the files in question.

make sure to restart http if you've made changes to php.ini or httpd.conf

Doing the recount, I was getting timeout errors. I tried to up it from 30 seconds to 60, 90, 120, and upping memory incrementally as well up to 256mb. I did all of this while being on with HostMonster tech support.
