Thread: Restricting cPanel root access through VPN

Hey,

We will like to isolate the ability for root to access root/ssh and whm/root only through a VPN.

But the question is because port 2086/2087 is for reseller, we are not able to restrict it to internal VPN access only (as we want to prevent root user from loggin into WHM through public.

Any suggestions how such VPN isolation of administration access?

The easiest way to accomplish this would be to filter the IP addresses individually.
Of course there are other options to restrict the access to the root cPanel but they are far more complicated.
