Just wanted to drop a quick note to my fellow webmasters, I'm a new A Small Orange customer and recently started accessing my email with Thunderbird. ASO requires you use SSL to connect to your email account, which I guess is a good thing but certain mail programs, like Thunderbird will throw up errors because the SSL certificate is for a subdomain of ASO and not mail.yourdomain.com

To fix this mosesy on over to https://www.asmallorange.com/extras/server.php plug in your domain name, remember the name of the server. Go back to Thunderbird and change the incoming mail server from mail.yourdomain.com to <server name>.asmallorange.com. Presto you're done no more warnings!

Hope this helps someone, I know I was pulling my hair out, the mail would still download just that annoying pop-up message for each account drove me mad.

Cheers,
Dan
