My recommendation would be HostGator. I have been using them for over 4 years and have rarely had any problems - all of which were dealt with quickly.
innohosting.com get some pretty good reviews at the hosting forums too.
As for the best, it is what is best for you.
i go with kentuckyslone i have been with hg for over 2 years and is always a breezz
Do those US company's have support for other country's? i'm from the netherlands, hosting is very expensive here and maybe i want a US host.
Hostgator is a pretty good choice, let us know how your experience is with them after a few months.
Can you make some good money with hosting reseller plans though :O? Whats the profit's like and whats the general expenditure? How much do you pay out to the original hosting provider? Any tips appreciated.
I'm glad you went with HostGator! They're really great!
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.
It is not an easy thing to make money with host resellling. Remember, you will be competing against the big guys and thousands of other resellers.
In my opinion a reseller account is great for a a webmaster who has more than one website of their own but if you are thinking of trying to start a business to make money this is not an easy way to go.
I have been running a reseller business for about 4 years now and I do have a few paying clients (helps cover expenses) but I am also hosting several of my own sites as well as those of a few friends and family.
I'm making a fair amount of money through reselling, enough to cover my costs and just about keep me going if I did loose my job, I did a lot of promotion when I first set it up but haven't done much since (so it's all word of mouth and promo-codes on forums like these).
I'm with HeartInternet and am really impressed with the service I get from them. The downside is that they don't offer end-user support (like many reseller accounts) but this is easy enough for me to provide myself.
I'm getting a real headache with the whmcs script. I'm gonna keep trying.
There isnt a such thing as a best host. Whats good for one may not be good for another. I would personally stay away from the unlimted space and bandwidth, there is no such thing as unlimited, everything has an end.
Good luck in your search.
If you need space, go for Lunarpages. If service is the priority, then try Hostgator. Apply a coupon and you will get $25 discount for first month.

I got reasonably good uptime with hostgator, nearly 99.9% most of the months. From my experience, their uptime is one of the best among the oversellers.
