Thread: Transferring wordpress sites to another host - Need help

I am transferring my wordpress site to another host and I followed this tutorial

Everything went perfect and I did follow the steps carefully. I created the database and in wp-config.php file I wrote the database name, database username and password correctly but it is not working.

The template of my site is appearing and all static pages are also there, but it is not getting the posts from database

I need help to fix it. Please guide me what could be the possible reason of it.

could it be because you are accessing via the non standard domain?

You mean first I should update the nameservers and then try to see the site if it is accessing the database or not?

Yes, viewing direct from the domain.

OK, I just updated the nameservers. I hope when the updating process (I think it is called propogation) completes everything will work fine

Check with a proxy, proxies usually are almost instant for propagation.

Oh Yes, I just checked it from webtalkproxy.com and it is now opening from hostgator

Few minutes ago someone commented on my most recent post and now his comment is not showing LOL.

It seems to be working on my end also. The posts are showing. via your domain smsbucket.com
