Thread: How to delete the primary domain on host?

I have ordered hosting on host1plus.com with directadmin, i entered wrong domain and now my main website doesnt load.
How to delete the primary one or change it?

You can't, once you did entered the Domain Name, it's not configurable anyone. Once it's once, the DNS Nameservers are setted up and also the domain name, so the network will be already connecting with the server. In this case, you can't do anything to change, you can simply ask for your support Host for help or to set up new account !

Here is a better explication of how it works :
- You enter domain name
- SETUP DNS nameservers
- your Hosting Plan get connexion with DNS and so Domain Name.
- You use your hosting

So if they give the option of configuring Main Domain, they will creat a big bug on their servers.

All you do is ask your web host provider to change the domain in WHM with the correct domain name and it will update based on the domain registrar but you can't change your username as WHM prohibits this once it is created. We have had to do this quite a few times with clients.

Tell your hosting provider to go through these steps in WHM:

Main >> Account Functions >> Modify an Account

locate your domain then update your domain, save it and allow it to update with your domain registrar which is normally 24 to 48 hours.

Contact to your webhost provider and tell the story.

Directadmin is not cpanel and does not have WHM for starters.

At least anyone who doesn't know about this using cpanel, does now

contact the hosting company .... or you can change it through Admin panel

Just remove the DNS servers from the domain registrar site and it should remove the domain from the web hosting package.
