I've just purchased a new SQL 2005 database on a godaddy shared hosting..
is it secured enough?

The easy answer is it can be secured if you want to add security to your shared hosting.

I think it's not necessary for you to worry about this problem.Even if it's shared hosting,they will have security mechanisms to protect your privacy.

I've always under the impression that you'll need to make your application that's utilizing the SQL that need to be secured.
