Thread: Problem with hosting

I am having problem with hosting. Very often I can not view (so my visitors also can not see the blogs) my blogs and sites hosted with one hosting provider.
Should I change my hosting provider or wait as hosting provider is telling they are looking to solve the problem?
Please give your valuable opinion. Thanks

I'd give the hosting provider a 'chance' but not too many. Hosting providers are well known to drag you along with promises they never come through on.

I know what you mean.
Luckily, I don't play around with my company.

Are you on shared hosting?

How many visitors your sites get daily. If you are on shared hosting with so many visitors daily then you might think to upgrade to VPS?

I recently upgraded my hosting to VPS because of this.

Personally I don't like VPS machines..
Been on them in the past several times and did not care for them

^ I am using VPS from Servint.net, they are famous for reliable support and uptime.

Has been only few days with them and so far I am happy. My sites are loading much faster now.

They were pretty good, but to limited for my needs.
I know bigdan uses them.
Was I believe my best VPS provider I had tried

Well,you'd better change a better one since their sevice is not that good.The stability is very important to your blog and also to your visitors.

Any host will have problems from time to time, what matters is they actually try to fix the issue and don't keep making excuses

if they are aware of the problem and say they are investigating it definitely give them that opportunity. Ask them when it will be fixed. If the problem isn't addressed by then and/or they haven't given you any updates it'd be wise to start shopping for a new host.

Me as well...

Ask your hosting provider for backup service of your site. If they are not able to giving you backup. I would like say find new hosting provider. It will be best way for you.

Even better, make your own backups regularly.

yep, can't trust a host for this IMO. Even if they make back ups, many will charge to get the data restored...

I don't know why you guys not ask about SLA before choose any host ??? Now you are complaining :gloomy: - I hate this. Now your hosting company takes long time. I recommended you. Ask them for your hole site backup! when you get you just leave them.

Most providers will not give a 'site back up' even if they have it without just cause, many even when they ruin your data still will charge you to restore the data.

No matter the circumstances it should always be known it is up to YOU to have a back up, not the host.
