Post Web Hosting from Your Home

Hosting a website yourself may save little money and take lots of time; however, it may turn out to be a good business venture for you. Today, many people have considered starting web hosting business from their homes. Web hosting from your home may often provide very unreliable service; hence think seriously before you proceed.

Several things are needed to start web hosting from your home. Technically, you must acquire or build a computer that can be used as a server. You can install any good operating system and server application to make the process smooth. You will definitely need an Internet connection to start the business of web hosting. The cost of high speed Internet connection may often become an obstacle.

To establish yourself as a true web host, you need a fixed internet protocol (IP) address – an address which never changes. This IP address must be local. You must also need a router to start web hosting business from your home. The main advantage is that for each component, you do not need a separate unit.

To run a few sites, I would recommend using a decently priced shared host with good uptime and support. Save yourself the trouble of maintaining all of the equipment and software yourself.

To sell hosting, the best choice is probably a dedicated server on a network with enough power to support everything.
Vectro Web Hosting - Web hosting with solid tech support.

x Proxy Host - Affordable PHP proxy hosting with proxy-specific features.
