Thread: need advice to select a hosting server

Hi,

One if my client wants a hosting server with the following features.

1. Live broadcasting like youtube which supports video conversion tools and thumb nail creation tools.
2. E-mail management. Users can create their email address of their own and manage their passwords. In normal shared hosting only administrators have rights to create email. But that is not my case.
3. Asp.net hosting with more than 40gb web space.

Could some one give any ideas for me?

For something that multimedia related, I would suggest going with a VPS to start. If your client builds an empire into a bigger one, then you would decide on a semi-dedicated or dedicated server.

40GB of space isn't that much and you can easily obtain that.

My suggestion would be to do your research and look around. Start looking at hosts like myhosting.com or other mainstream hosts.

for better information you need to concern with hosting provider then it will be more clear to you.

I don't see the solution anywhere in the thread. The solution he or she needs is a solid hosting server and I think a small to medium VPS package is exactly what is needed.

The host that hosts my floral shop's web site is on VPS and it hasn't let me down one bit. Great reliability and solid tech support! The OP needs to really trust my word on this one and go with VPS instead of semi-dedicated or dedicated.

The semi and dedicated are just too big for a starting package.
