Sorry, I have to chime in about GoDaddy - for my first website I used GoDaddy as my registrar and hosting (newbie mistake), signing up with them for 2 years. As my site was progressing I noticed how slow it ran. After numerous tests I found the fault to be at GoDaddy's side - I was getting a first byte time of 6-11 seconds (!!).. Numerous e-mails to support gave me the same template replies and I eventually left them.

My recommendation: Stay FAR away from GoDaddy's hosting.

Trust on a website hosting service depends on many factors, such as excellent technical and customer support and fulfilling your requirements. If a web host can fulfill your requirements, then definitely a client will stick to that service as long as he will get satisfying service.

I would prefer Bluehost.

For shared or VPS (perfect for someone starting out) you can't go wrong with Hostgator or Site 5. I still use both of their VPS services for smaller projects.

For bigger things with the ultimate reliability, you aren't going to get better than Rackspace, hands down.

For me, Bluehost. I'm been happy with their services.

I'll put my vote for HostGator as well - great prices, EXCELLENT support, and fast speed - can't go wrong with them.

I will go with godaddy.

Agreed. Too many times people are shelling out more money for features they don't need. Why not just cut out those features useless to you and save on the price?

It's a question to the customers, I believe.
