    Default Hosting service issues

I was using a UK hosting company for one of my sites. I have two accounts with this host. On one of my accounts I get several reminder notices about renewals up to a day before expiry.

On the other, the renewal email came two months before expiry and i decided to pay it later. I never got another email and forgot to pay. Needless to say the site was deleted.

I then tried to contact the host to determine whether i could get the site back without having to pay the setup costs again, and possibly whether they had kept the files so I had as up to date a back up as possible. I did not get a response.

I tried to phone (no answer) then emails and faxes. Still no response several weeks later. I found another host and moved the deleted site over. I then decided this other host was much better so I wanted to move everything over from the other account too but I had just paid annual renewal for 3 sites. I contacted them again to find out how I could get a partial refund. Again no response. It is impossible to get in touch with them about anything at all.

Is there anything I can do? Anyone I can complain to? I just want a response!

Without getting a response from a human being, it's going to be impossible to get anywhere with them.
And, I suspect that you won't get the results you desire, even after a human gets involved.
There seems to be a culture of poor service among many web hosts.

I just left Hosting Zoom (Reseller Zoom) for poor service.

Sebb, what is the name of hosting company (not url of course)?

Company is 123-reg. I have continued to try to email and phone but still no response.

I've re-read the terms and conditions and dont think I can get a refund on the part year. However, I am still worried that I cant contact them at all.

I've continued to try daily to get in touch with them and absolultey no response. What happens if I do need to speak to them some time in the next year while I wait for my hosting to expire?

Before this, the only other time i needed to contact them wasnt urgent and a response took 3 weeks. Its now been longer than that.

Is there no external company I can complain to given that no-one will respond at 123-reg? Or am I just stuck with this for a year?

The ironic thing is that they've just launched a new "support site" in response to customer feedback!!

I found they are a part of pipex. Go at pipex HP and you will see they offer domain names thru 123-reg there. Try to contact pipex directly or you can find the other phone of 123-reg there (probably, it is the right one)
