As we all know some hosting companies provide an excellent service (both pre and post sales), some time ago i developed a site that reviewed a selection of diets. The site allows people to rate each listed diet based on a number of different aspects.
I now want to take this concept further and develop a web hosting review website. The same database driven system that i developed will be used to collate peoples views however quite obviously the questions that are asked to determine how good (or how bad) a host is need to be changed.
I have come up with the following (initial) questions:
1. Presales
2. Uptime
3. Variety of hosting packages
4. Site management features
5. Email features
6. Scripting and Development features
7. Quality Telephone Support
8. Quality of Email Support
9. Quality of Live Chat Support
10. General speed of support resolution
11. Value for money
12. General Website Quality
13. Would you recommend this host?
14. What is your gender?
15. What is your age group?
Each question will have a number of options to choose from, whether it be a scale rating of 1-10 (poor-excellent) or a rating that is more specific such as very poor, poor, good, very good, excellent.
I'd obviously like to hear some views on this, specifically the questions asked - are there any questions that i have missed or you feel shouldn't be included?
Ultimately through experience we all know which hosts we love and those that we have a distaste for - this would allow everyone to have a voice regarding the service they actually recieve!
Thanks for your time![]()
