Thread: need opinion on my webdesign

The one thing that Hits me straight away is no footer. It kinda looks weird with the header and the side column but no footer to finnish it off. Apart from that I Like it!

Looking good so far, but for sure a footer would even make it better.. it's hard to say how it will turn out once you add content, because we don't know what you have planned for that yet.. but I like it.. colors are nice and very easy to use layout it looks like ya got.. keep us updated!

Looks good so far. A little blank obviously. The footer could do with a top border or devider, but looks great

How it looks kinda depends on what it's going to be used for. What are you planning to use it for?

I think you need to put some graphics on it...

I personally prefer to have the sidebar on the right. Makes it easier to get the CSS right for source-ordered content. Also, it highlights the content better.

The design is not totally finished. I think it would be better to complete all the designs including its content, footer and other images...

It is coming up really nice actually. I see you have a good taste of color combination, with some work and small modifications here and there you will achieve exactly what your eye wants to see good job.

i would suggest lightening your gradients and making them smoother. Also adding some type of light borders.

Right now the login does not have a submit button

I would have used "Recent Posts" and "Newest Members" (plural)

The orange bar has a horizontal strip which I guess you might have for submenu items) but from this design it is not clear if you have sub-menus or not. If not then mae it thinner.

- Add footer
- center the login boxes
- recent post to recent posts
- newest member to newest members

Color scheme looks nice but:
a) I know that you have used a very common photoshop brush
b) You should add some random text so that we can check typography too
c) Upper menu should be more on the left side
d) Same for login box, except if you plan to add some important text
e) Footer as said..

content is missing. If you fill your design with sample content, and place all
elements where they finally should be shown on your site, it would be much
more easier to say, if everything works fine.

Web designs always look better with content in them. Put some random generated text blocks and image place holders into your designs to get a better look and feel.

Well, its a very good website, please put footer and the animation too so that it should look more and more attractive... because most of the people likes to watch a videos and animations rather than going through the whole text of the site...

Header is good but why you need menu bar active link which is in orange color extends up to header it will look nice if it occupies only home and navigation part and i noticed that there is no footer content please see a layout of common website i mean a website must have at least following layout color combination and clarity is marvelous
