Thread: What do you think about dropshipping?

Has anyone here had any experience selling things on ebay from a dropshipper?

It's over run. If it was so easy with no money down everyone would do it More hype than anything.

At least it's getting some people money selling ebooks about it. Clickbank has a few of them...

People make money on how to get rich all the time, buying property with no money down ring a bell?

I have used a dropshipper successfully for selling cell phone, pda, and mp3 batteries though our own website. The company was highly professional and they are hardly ever out of stock. However, the margins for dropshipping are lower already. If you sell through eBay, it is even lower. I would expect that it is very difficult to make money through dropshipping in eBay.

I worker with a dropshipper before, unfortunately my dropshipping biz is not going really well.

If you are a wiz in selling and marketing, either through ebay or other marketplace (forums, etc) you have a great chance to make it big!

i think dropshipping only works in the US and UK. here in our country, sellers prefer meet-ups to get the item and give you the payment. i don't know any reputable dropshipper company besides the one in china that claims to be.

Haven't heard of it yet, I haven't sell any product on ebay yet. :P

I used to sell full time on ebay and the thing with dropshippers is you are probably better off trying to establish your own contacts obviously this can be hard work but can be worth it in the end a lot of it is trial and error there are some con merchants out there so beware and tread carefully until you have built up trust.

If you want a quick fix there are wholesalers and dropshippers that are always looking for good ebay sellers but the profit margins are not what they once were.

Old thread... but anyway. If I was doing it I'd skip ebay and go long term, build a site, build traffic etc. Sounds kinda lame, like a brick and mortar tactic but it could work. Just the usual advice, pick something you like etc.

I think it`s down to finding the right niche. So many things that can be dropshipped are now played out. The secret is getting in at the right time - never easy.

I dont do ebay dropshipping but have a tshirt and mug shop on all my sites, it brings in money every now and again. Also its fun to try and design a really nice tshirt, also not worrying about whos making the tshirts/mugs etc is great. I just get a commission.

I have never been able to secure a decent dropshipper. I have only found wholesale items in bulk that I am able to sell and ship on my own. Please let me know if you find a decent one.
