I think it's not bad a job. It's very challenging and really works your brain

And I think the demand for software is still increasing and the number of software firms are increasing as well.

I was heading to software engineering, but I was convinced not to by a professional software engineer. First off, you do not need to go to a university for a degree for software, it can all be done at home and you will save a lot of money. The main reason I didn't head down the path of a software engineer is because anybody can do it from there home that has a computer. People all over the world are doing this, and they are willing to work for less than you. Jobs are in demand and less jobs out there.

Sorry to put it out so harsh. Specially if you have got your admission. Hopefully this has helped to make your decision.

As days go by, with more and more process are getting automated and world over things are going digital, there is a huge potential for those specializing in software; there are variety of fields within this, like, development, testing, architecture, database, security, business intelligence, business analysts and lot more. choose an area, where you have a passion.

Its a good job, but the pay is low during the first few years. I think they start off at 30k per year. that is not a lot for all those years of schooling.

This job is brilliant and very well-paid, but you'll succeed in this sphere only if you have abilities. Personally I don't((
