In working at home I can see only advantages - no nervous strain, no strict schedule, no transport and traffic jams... But there is one disadvantage - it is easily to get bored without any human contacts from day to day...

For how long have you been working at home? Do you work as a programmer?

I I have been working in the SEO for only three months and I don t know if this what I want to do in 6 months. I would really like to have more complicated things to do and to interact more with people and learn from them.

But maybe things will get better! I will sure learn to be more disciplined and conscientious.

I can relate how its like because I share the same feeling at times - getting bored. I get a little discomfort when people ask me what I do. I got the kind of strange look "you're out of job" staring at me when I told them I work from home.

The parts I like most is I can spend more time with my family, no traffic jams, rush hours or peek hours. I like it most is when I get to go shopping on Monday morning when others are having monday blue :smartass:

For me, the worst part of working at home is the lack of interaction with other people. I'm outgoing and love to be a part of a group. When I'm working at home, it's just me and the dog. I joined several volunteer groups, just to get out of the house and be around people.

Well, why do you work at home? No alternative? I read a good article on LIfehack.com called Managing the Transition from Office Job to Work-at-Home. It's a great read. Search it and maybe it will help you.

    Success!

The Long Pauses! If something uneven happens around the home or country or if some guests walk in to home! it makes real mess for working at home

Another thing about working from home is that I love to play with my dog. When he comes up and drops his ball in front of me...it's all over for a while.

I find it easy to work at home because we feel more independent to do anything and the worst part of we are not serious for work at home and make it lightly. other thing is technical problems can not be handled easily

the worst thing in working from home is time management. at home there are many distractions and you need to keep focused to get anything acomplished.

    1. I don't find it hard working at home. I quite enjoy my own company, actually.

    2. Erm, no, in the beginning, I found it exciting 'cos everything was new to me.

    3. The worst part, for me, about working from home is keeping myself focused and motivated.

    1. Do you find it difficult to work at home?

Nope.. I find it very comfortable.

    2. Was it hard at the beginning?

A little! Since I started working at home without any knowledge of SEO. And the good thing is, I learned it by keep on doing the task and getting good information through webmaster forums.

    3. On your opinion, what is the worst part in working at home?
When you get used on your task.

    In answer to your questions:

1.) I love what I do & do what I love, so it's not difficult for me to work from home at all.

2.) First starting out it was a bit over whelming trying to learn everything at once. It actually took me almost 60 days to break the ice & make my first sale. I've been self employed now, working from home since 2005, and I must say that the first 2 years were the roughest.

3.) Worst part of working at home is that I have to do all my own taxes & deduction every year. Sure, I hire an accountant to help out, it's just the deductions, saving receipts, and the Lump sum all at once I have to pay the IRS every year that's depressing a bit. But hey, anything that makes money, the IRS wants a piece of.

Working at home is great, but if you are going to do it, do it right and make sure you are abiding with all your countries city / state / federal laws when it comes to taxes and business operation. Laws are different everywhere.
