Thread: Career in Home Working

Hi to everyone! how do you think - is it possible to make a successful career working from home? I think that it can be really difficult, because when you work from home you are isolated from the society. What is your point of view on the subject?

I have only worked from home intermittently - a day here and there when the opportunity arose. Though it was very enjoyable (no dragging myself out of bed, showering, eating, becoming properly hygienic, all in a dazed stupor), I'm not sure what working exclusively from home for, say, 2 years straight would feel like. I'm guessing a dreadful feeling of isolation would begin only after a few months. Though we may not like many of our co-workers, they do provide a social outlet. Office politics usually reflect personal politics (i.e., popularity contests, backstabbing, power struggles and even romantic interludes occur in the workplace). So work provides us a social context that a home office likely wouldn't. I haven't had the opportunity to try exclusive working from home, but more than a few of the jobs I've had would support it. It sounds both tempting and terrible.

But just because you work at home doesn't mean you can do other things.

And this includes getting a job and being active in whatever social activities you may like.

Yeah! Certainly it has much career but only can possible if you have talent with some technical abilities to work around & get worked done!

Well according to me there are less chances to make your career at home i mean there is a lack of those work that can increase your career upside. It is better that you have work with an organization or company for your proper career growth.

Working from home it`s dangerous. I was a rugby player and i was a very active person...till i discovered the power of the internet marketing. In 4 years i loosed most of my real life friends, i`m fat now..i had 70 kg now i have 105 kg.It`s true..if you put your time and passion in what you do..you can make a living and retire early, but if you exagerate..your health will be affected.

yeah .. u wpuld be isolated but it can be done. it is indeed a very convenient way of a career.. u can be with your family at all times..

Off course it is possible to make a career from home.It is mainly depends on your ability and the type of business. if you are thinking to make a successful career from home than,you should consult with some experience and expertise person having a successful home based business.

Medical billing is good way to work from home..You can bill either hour or task based..

That's depend on your mind set. if you have good client then u can sit at home and work.

I don't think that you can make a good career working at home as it is impossible at all. WE need to see people and have meetings and so on. It is not good if one of your living rooms will become a conference room.

You are almost right. but i wanna tell that is it necessary to isolate myself form society to work from home? I think it is possible for us to involve ourselves to the society having work at home.
