Default Does your biz slow down in the summer

Last summer was my first as an internet marketer, and traffic definitely slowed during Jun-Aug and picked up in September... however, it could be that my site was still in its "growing stages".

Lately, my traffic has gone down, and I'm wondering if we can attribute it to the weather- people are outside instead of at their desks?

Well, they ought to take their laptops to the beach and visit my site

I think you hit the nail on the head, Ellen.

People spend less time in front of their computer in the summer months.

I see some slumps only around holidays. I guess it depends on what your niche is. Ours being investments and financial planning stuff we luckily have a year round calling. Other sites like our car sites go up in the summer and spring, everyone seems to be looking for new cars to buy.

And a Sunday in the summer- wow, it looks like there's been a power-outage throughout most of the world based on my stats for today!! Weekends are always about 50% of the traffic of weekdays for my site...

Ellen I find that for the most part summers are slow. Also, a little bird told me that there may have been algorythm adjustment on Google on or about May 25th. You may want to check that your keywords and site didn't get hit too hard.

Well, Im not a work at home mom hehe but yes they are times of the year where traffic slowssss right down.

My main business is within travel, so during November and December it comes to a complete standstill [just about] because people are out shopping for Christmas.

    I'm slow year round

I think summer for the mot part would be slower, kids out of school, more travel, vacations, etc.
