I was wondering if people wore a suit, casual clothes or their bed clothes when working from home.
Sounds a bit of a funny question but I have heard people say that they have to wear a suit to get motivated for work in the morning.

I wear whatever I have on when I wake up in the morning. Then I usually take a shower at about 9 am and put on my normal street clothes. I don't like getting all dolled up to sit in front of a computer all day... seems sort of silly to me :P

Same here.
Casual, what I wear normally for life.
What I think is hilarious are these so called IM gurus who talk about being able to make money in your underwear.

I wear my Star Wars pajamas.![]()

I usually wear shorts and that's about it.
I do know someone who puts on his suit just like anyone else who goes to the office. Crazy.

Does he meet with clients in his home?
I know quite a few people who have their business office at home and they wear suits because of clients coming in.

I don't get dressed up up. I typically wear PJ's until noon, then shower and wear regular clothes. I seem to be most productive in the early morning - noon so I figure why waste time with a show and ruin my production flow.

I generally wear whatever strikes my fancy for the day... my usual at home uniform: jeans and a t-shirt.

i used to stay in my boxers all day long... but i now have this job of sorts, where i have to stop by an office every day for three hours.
i now wear clothes.

^ I'm sure they appreciate that at the office. So do you get to go back to the boxers for casual Fridays j/k
What do you do Sammie on casual Fridays, you can't get more casual then naked LOL!

i could folow sammie's lead for my casual fridays at home.. but my sole employee wouldn't take too kindly to it... and it's tough enough finding decently skilled people around...
ps: meant to quote, but thanked instead...
I crawl out of bed around 1-2 in the afternoon. Sit at the computer in my boxers and white t for a bit. Crawl to the shower around 3-4 and join the rest of society in looking normal. I usually go to sleep around 5-6AM.
Those are during sober nights though. Add 1-2 hours where alcohol is consumed.

Normally, I'm wearing my PJs if I'm sitting at the computer. No sense getting dressed up and wasting clothes to stare at a screen all day.
Funny thing, I used to work for a newspaper as a production assistant, network admin, and all around geek. If something electrical broke, I was called. Any who it was a really small office, small town newspaper, but dress code required a button down shirt and dress slacks every day. It made no sense to me, I mean it was just us office workers, rarely any visitors. I once got reprimanded and suspended for 3 days because I wore a golf polo (collared) one day. I didn't last to long after that. The owner didn't even set an example she'd show up in jeans and a t-shirt most days. What a bunch of BS.

Thats cheating.. if there going to have a dress code then the boss should have to follow their own rules!

I just wear casual clothes when at home..![]()
I always get dressed to work at home. It helps me to separate the home "atmosphere" from the work "atmosphere". TV is an absolute no-no. I listen to music like I used to when I worked in an office. Since my home "office" is in a corner of my livingroom, I schedule my work hours when my son is at school. Once he gets home at 2:30 pm, my work day is "officially" over, altho I do still do some stuff.

Especially Spiderman underoos. As for work attire, I do some of my best thinking in the bathroom or shower. So I guess you could say that when I'm brainstorming, I've got nothing but a smile on my face and a bathroom crayon in my hand.. scribbling on the walls of my tub/shower surround.

i have some major health problems, one of which is damage to my T1 , lower neck, because of this i get like electric shocks down the left side of my body, they are triggered when i move or by slight touch, so my clothes trigger them, i have just started on some pills to stop them and they seem to work but one of the side effects is that i now lactate which is not good as i aint worn a bra in 6 years, and only have a bikini top to wear and put pads in.
so i am sat at home in a bikini just now, while i try and work out how to deal with this added problem.
my life is way to complex, and 90% of it is health issues.

What do you mean "when I get out of bed"
I get up when I can't bear the starvation anymore and need to eat!
