What an idiot...while he probably didn't mean anything bad by it...you'd think a professional anchor would know not to say something like that...lol

I don't understand what's so bad about it and how it's highly offensive? Oh my, there's bigger things to worry about in the world. I don't think she's an idiot at all, quite the opposite, sad she'd have to worry about everything that comes out of her mouth being misconstrued, people can really just misconstrue anything.

in my opinion they are one of the things that is making racism such a big deal...doesn't matter what you say anymore....it's considered racist...it's BS...

As a black person in the world i would like to point out that yes there is still racism. I deal with it all the time. And while it's not as drastic as it once was, people still need to realize that words offend. Al Sharpton is crazy, that I will agree with, but I'm not going to agree that the NAACP is all bad. You try being black and dealing with the shit we have to deal with, THEN you give an accurate answer.

I don't think racism is gone by any means...definitely not, and while I agree that not all of the NAACP is bad...whenever you see them in the news...they are making some big fiasco out of something that shouldn't be that big of a deal...they like to crucify on the first offense...in the public eye they don't seem to like to admit that everyone is human...

I wouldn't have as much as a problem with them if it was NAAAP...(National Association for the Advancement of ALL People)...but to specify a specific race...seems a bit racist ...

Things would work out better if we actually spent our resources on punishing people that actually ARE racist...not by chasing down and crucifying someone that had one slip on (unintentionally) in their entire career...

Actually, it does in America. The KKK used to lynch black people in the south and has negative connotations to not only black people, but minorities all over the U.S.

@ stefanie, I agree and I don't. Blacks aren't the only race in America that has to deal with racism. I'm a hispanic woman and know first-hand what it's like to not have white skin and blue eyes. But racism in America also includes Anglo's. In fact, I would argue that they are equally discriminated by other races. I deal with it constantly having married a white man.

I'm of the opinion that too many minorities use their race as a crutch or excuse for lack of success in this country. Every opportunity to succeed is available in this country. Whether you take advantage of it or not is no one else's fault but yours. You don't see people like Tiger Woods, Colin Powell, Condileeza Rice, Bill Cosby, Will Smith playing the race card. In fact, they used it as motivation to become who they are now.

Oh please with this black/racist thing already. It was for religious persecution too and criminal punishment too.

It was a figure of speech analogous with eliminating the competition in this case. Nothing more.

People that embrace this as racist are setting race relations back decades or perhaps centuries.

I agree that blacks aren't the only race dealing with racism, it wasn't my intention to imply that we were. How true that people use race for a crutch, I must admit I'm guilty of it too. (I like to say it's cause I'm black huh, but that's usually cause I'm joking). I think it's great that people have used their past history to over come and conquer, and that goes for all races.

I think we should be free to lynch black people, white people, red people, and yellow people.
