Josef Fritzl, 73, lured his daughter Elisabeth into the cellar back in 1984. Over the past quarter of a century the dirty old bastard has been molesting her on a regular basis.

Yes Austria, the land of the "Sound of Music" and with fairytale-like scenary. This is the third time something like this has happened in the past 2 years. They must look at theirselves closely to see whether this is a real "Austria Syndrome".

He is only going to get up to 15 years for this, for destroying the lives at least 4 persons.

Have they considered the psychological trauma to the children, not to mention their severely retarded education?

Apparently, he told them he would gas them if they tried to overpower him - also that he may get charged with 'murder for failing to act' for the one infant who died in childbirth.

It will be interesting to follow this case to see the mental state of all those involved.

Even my wife is having nightmares for the past few days about this, it has been frontpage news over here in Hong Kong for the past several days. I just can't even begin to imagine what the family is going through. If they can charge him with murder, they can bump it up to 20 years.

All the Austrian chancellor can think about is potential damage to Austria's image and tourism.

i hope they get all of it and then some he took years of there lives they will never be able to get back

It basically said he has no money and had to sell his property and the kids would be left penniless, and it had some obscene amount for how much their therapy alone is going to cost.

the one thing that really pisses me off is that he is 73 so he wont even serve much time for the crap he did being that old he could pass any day and not get the punishment he deserves

there will never be enough therapy to make those people right.
