'Bin Laden' call targets Israel

"A new audio message purported to be from Osama Bin Laden has called for Muslims to continue the fight to liberate Palestinian lands.
In a tape marking Israel's 60th anniversary, the speaker pledged to continue fighting the Israelis and not give up "a single inch of Palestine".
The tape's authenticity could not be verified.



The last messages attributed to Bin Laden were aired in March.


The al-Qaeda leader is thought to be in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area.


Friday's message, which lasted about nine minutes, was posted on a website commonly used by al-Qaeda.
It came as US President George W Bush ended a trip to Israel coinciding with anniversary celebrations that began last week.


The voice on the tape said the fight for the Palestinian cause was the most important factor driving al-Qaeda's war with the West, and that it had fuelled the 11 September 2001 attacks on the US.


In March, a message attributed to Bin Laden, and considered by US intelligence officials as authentic, threatened the EU over the publication of a cartoon satirising the Prophet Muhammad.


The following day, another message urged Muslims to join the insurgency in Iraq as the best way to support the Palestinians."

I don't know what to think... they really need to get rid of Bin Laden... NOW. Though I agree that the situation in Palestine also needs to be settled, Palestine need help from orginizations such as NATO, instead they are getting backed by a terrorist orginization. NATO should have stepped in first to help a long time ago.

I doubt the guy is even alive.

Thank goodness the USA invaded Iraq and took care of the real threat (Sadam) instead of wasting time going after Osama.

Why do so many doubt he's alive?

It appears to be at least that this rumor got started after Bush's failure to capture him.

Maybe he isn't, no real proof of it though.......

Bin Laden will die someday...but then he has so many followers :s

Just imagine if someone invaded the US. Even if you hate Bush, many, many are going to stand up and do whatever it takes to take out the invaders. Of course you'll have the traitors just like our revolutionary war who side with the enemy, it's nothing new.

Our own policies can and do hurt us.

I still advocate the same idea I had when this whole thing started: Level the WHOLE area.

A parking lot would be good use for that land!

Audio tape?? yeah right, hes got to be dead or else his ugly face would be on the news. Hes not the sort of person who would not want as much publicity as possible.

I would also have to agree with Rhiannon. He is not the kind of guy to keep in the shadows. If he was alive I am sure we would see a new threatening video each week.

There is no evidence pointing to his death.
Don't forget...
This guy is wanted by the US government, and they have the resources to track him in ingenious ways.
Every time he releases a video or audio tape, he leaves a trail that could potentially be followed back to him.
It's unwise for him to be releasing anything to the media, let alone a regular weekly show.

He would want his supporters to know that he is still alive and audio tapes just dont do it properly. And it has been a long time since his last appearance.

1. His supporters are going to believe what they want.
If the US says he's dead, that won't mean anything to them.

2. It doesn't really matter to his supporters if he's dead or alive. If dead, he's a martyr and they will still support his cause.

3. If the US were successful in capturing or killing him, Bush would release news of that faster than he can bankrupt a company. He's dying to get some good publicity and this would certainly make him look good.

I find the whole argument that he does not appear on video tapes often enough to mean he is dead extremely silly.

Was he ever in weekly announcements? Before he was being tracked 'like he's supposed to be now?'

I also hear the 'he's a wuss for hiding'

Well it's easy to be like Bush and make announcements when the chances of being hit by an enemy is next to nothing. Compared to being in a remote area with your enemies fully having the capability of hitting you in mere minutes.
