Thread: George Carlin dies of heart failure

He may have been old, but what a loss. I was a huge George Carlin fan and to me it is a great loss. I guess he'll finally know the truth behind his anti-religous stand. He will be missed!

He was one of the funniest, smartest and most important comics of our time.

Carlin, who had a history of heart trouble, went into St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday afternoon complaining of chest pain and died later that evening, said his publicist, Jeff Abraham. He had performed as recently as last weekend at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. He was 71.

I think the best part about hi was that he never gave a f*ck and changed his stances on religion or stupid people. Seems rare anymore, people really go all PC or change with the times.

So sad about this I had bought my father tickets to his current tour a few weeks ago for Father's Day. What a gift... now he can't even go! He was a great comedian.

He looks familiar but I don't know him.. maybe I just missed the show of a great people like him. RIP Mr. George Carlin..
